TASK 5 – TIPS FOR YOUR HEALTH
1. Enjoy plenty of fruits and vegetables
Fruits and vegetables are among the most important foods for giving us enough vitamins, minerals and fibres. We should try to eat at least 5 servings a day. For example, a glass of fresh fruit juice at breakfast, perhaps an apple and a piece of watermelon as snacks, and a good portion of different vegetables at each meal.2. Reduce salt
There are different ways to reduce salt in the diet:
– When cooking, salt can be substituted with spices
– When eating, don’t have salt at the table.3. Eat regularly
Eating a variety of food, regularly, and in the right amount is the best formula for a healthy diet. Don’t skip meals, especially breakfast.
For snacks, we could choose yogurt, fresh or dried fruits or vegetables (like carrot sticks), or perhaps some bread with cheese.4. Get on the move, make it a habit!
Physical activity is important It helps us burn off the extra calories, it is good for the heart and circulatory system, We don’t have to be top athletes to get on the move! 150 minutes per week of moderate physical activity is ok, and it can easily become part of our daily routine.(adapted from http://www.eufic.org)

TASK 6 – DEAR MR…
Dear Mr. Broadbent,
First, I have to apologize for not writing to you on time. I was out in Kent playing in a tennis tournament from Oct. 5 to Oct.12. I’m very sorry.
Now, let me introduce myself. I’m Helen Keller. I’m 18 years old I want to be a high school teacher and teach Maths and tennis to the students in the future. I usually play tennis after classes as a member of Bedford University Tennis Club. I’ve played it for over 4 years and I think I’m a pretty good player. If you like to play tennis, I’d like to play with you.
I live in an apartment in Bedford. My parents live in Slough, where I was born and brought up. My sister is a high school student. And now she studies at a high school in Ohio as an exchange student. I also want to study abroad in my near future. I am busy every day as I have to study, practice tennis, and do all the housework.
However, I enjoy my life in Bedford, and would like to try to do many things. Of course, I’d like to learn a lot from you. I’m sure it is going to be a very interesting year.Sincerely yours,
